Scope Of Work

The 202 Westlake project consisted of the demolition of an existing structure which was replaced by a six-story shell with open interior spaces for future T.I. work. The South side of the building incorporated a unique off-axis curtain wall that was tilted at a 5 degree angle. Careful 3-D modeling allowed Mission Glass to pre-determine many of the difficult details created with a negatively sloped wall. The other elevations of the building included a unique mix of punched storefront openings and curtain walls spanning multiple floors. The installation of a segmented radius along the Western facade also helped to create a stunning visual impact. Materials used on the project were designed to integrate elements that mimic the construction included on surrounding buildings, while still allowing the structure to distinguish itself as a noticable feature of the South Lake Union neighborhood.
